With just days remaining of the summer transfer window, Chelsea are still looking to improve their squad to provide Mauricio Pochettino with the tools to compete this season.

The majority of the Blues' business is now done but the club are still looking to bring a versatile attacking player to Stamford Bridge following the injuries to Christopher Nkunku and Carney Chukwuemeka. Chelsea want someone who can play on the right wing but also operate centrally as a No.10.

The likes of Bradley Barcola and Rayan Cherki, both at Lyon, have been identified as possible options. Brennan Johnson was seen as that, too, but the Blues have recently cooled their interest in the Wales international with Nottingham Forest wanting up to £50million for the attacker.

Whoever Chelsea end up signing in attack, that is expected to be their final addition of the summer window, barring any late surprises. The Blues have already spent more than £350million on incomings this summer.

Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu, Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, Deivid Washington and Nkunku have all arrived on permanent deals. So, with that said, football.london takes a look at how Chelsea can line up once the window is closed when also taking into account the current injury problems.

Dream Chelsea XI

In an ideal world, the most recent signing Petrovic will be competing for the number one spot in goal with Sanchez. The Serbia international is expected to be in the squad for the Carabao Cup clash with AFC Wimbledon later this week.

With Reece James sidelined with a hamstring problem for the next couple of weeks, the impressive Malo Gusto remains at right-back, with Ben Chilwell on the other side. If Chelsea were to go back to the back four we saw in pre-season, Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill looks like the best partnership on paper.
